consulting for a cause

WHAT IS CONSULTING FOR A CAUSE?

Consulting for a Cause (C4C) is a case competition hosted by QSIA in partnership with a non profit organization in the Kingston area. Students compete to solve a case by developing and presenting creative solutions to a real business problem facing the partner organization. Additionally, C4C hosts a panel discussion and networking session with speakers from the partner organization where the organization can share internship and volunteer opportunities with students. As a result, students learn more about the partner organization, gain insights from employees in the non profit sector, and are exposed to additional opportunities to get involved in their communities.

For companies who want to get involved with this event, please view the partnership package below.

In 2019, QSIA partnered with Habitat for Humanity Kingston Limestone Region. Together, we developed a case that challenged participants to develop a cost-effective internship program too to accommodate the rapidly increasing demand for affordable housing in the Kingston region.

Delegates came up with several ideas for Habitat for Humanity to implement into their business model. These ideas were designed to help Habitat for Humanity raise the necessary funds needed to support its growth while providing students with opportunities to contribute to the work done by the organization.

"It was such an honour to have been A part of QNP’s Consulting for a Cause. This event gave us an amazing platform to raise awareness about the work of our organization in Kingston. We received fresh perspectives and ideas that can Increase our efficiency and effectiveness. We recommend other noN profit organizations to take advantage of it!”
